I was recently asked on Facebook, what trailer would I recommend is best for a 10-foot Jon boat. As far as I am concerned, you should look no further than the Ironton Personal Watercraft and Boat Trailer Kit.

And it’s not just me who says this, just take a look at the amazing reviews on Amazon that this trailer has received over the last few years if you need more convincing.

Personal review of the Ironton Jon boat trailer kit

And now for some comments, including any pros and cons (and there are some).

Firstly, it’s is very simple to put together and assemble, despite the instructions not being completely clear on some steps. But, if you can put flat pack furniture together, then there’s no reason why you would struggle to get this 10ft Jon boat trailer up and running in just a few hours.

This trailer works perfectly with a 10-foot Jon boat, and it’s almost like they were destined to be partnered together. But, if you have something larger, then you will get some overhang.

If you have an Amazon Prime membership, then it’s ideal as you can get it delivered for free. Compare that to other stores, where you might have to pay some hefty shipping charges, then it’s a no-brainer.

But what about the cons?

Well, the lights are constructed to the same standard as the steel frame. You might even have to end up doing some small adjustments yourself too. In fact, I spoke to one guy who ended up drilling a few small holes in the trailer himself to make the lighting more secure. If you want to make a DIY solution, you will find this boat trailer weight calculator very useful.

But, at the price you pay, it’s not a huge issue.

In addition to this recommendation on the best 10-foot Jon boat trailer for sale, I also have guides on other trailer kits for all sizes and weights.

For example, here’s what I recommend for a 12-footer, or you can explore the guide to trailering Jon boats that I also recently published.
