For some people, boating and golf seem to go together. Well, not literally of course, but I’ve lost count of the amount of pontoon owners I have met who also love to putt.

Which is what led me to my next boat naming mission; what would be the best boat names for golf lovers?

I had a bit of a brainstorm with my brother, to see what we could come up with. We tee’d off with what we think are the ones most likely to be used, then moved onto the green with some funny, rude, and more creative ideas.

See what you think below!

Funny boat names for golf lovers

Creative and clever boat names for golf lovers

As you can tell from the funny ideas above, we’re not natural comedians, so tried to be a little bit more creative with the next set of names.

Even if you don’t choose any of these for your own boat, they should provide some inspiration as to what you could come up with yourself.

Everyone seems to a love a creative boat name after all!

  • Fairway to Heaven
  • Hook Shot
  • Par Tee Time

Rude boat names for golfers

And last, but by no means least, a few names that you might find rude and offensive.

Believe it or not, there aren’t that many names that the US Coast Guard will ban (here’s the banned list), and many boat owners love something a bit risky.

  • Fore Play
  • Foregasm
  • Happy Hooker
  • Knicker Knockers
  • Sod Sailor
  • Tee’d Off

If you love names that are close to the knuckle, read this larger list of the rudest boat names that we could come up with, or find online.

The last word…

Naming your boat is a rite of passage.

But, it can be hard to get it right, so take your time and don’t end up with something that you might regret and be embarrassed of in the future.

Also, if you are the member of a yacht club or marina, find out what their naming rules are. It’s not unheard of for some boat owners to be banned from a club if it’s deemed that the vessel name is offensive to other members…
